What kid didn't play Cowboys and Indians when they were young? 

Cowboy und Indianer touches on that nostalgia. 
Although the lyrics are remarkably profound the song only made it big thanks to a silly dance that goes along with it. German performer Olaf Henning first recorded Cowboy und Indianer in 2000. 
But it wasn't until the song was adapted to the so-called "Lasso Dance"by the band Mallorca Cowboys There are some German soldiers stationed in Afghanistan showing how it's done in the video below.  

It's a bit of a laugh seeing these big tough men doing such a silly dance, good to know they were able to have at least some fun over there!
