Munich rockers the Spider Murphy Gang had an early eighties chart-topper with Skandal im Sperrbizirk and it's still the most popular rock anthem on the Wiesn.
Directly translated, the title means 'Scandal in the prostitution-free area' but I think you'll agree it sounds a tad catchier in German.
Said scandal concerns Rosi, a Munich gal who's in the service sector, that is to say, prostitution.
She dutifully advertises in the local newspaper so clients can call her and she takes her business to her them, thus getting around the city's 'Sperrbizirk' - or no-go area for prostitutes.
